Two ways to do it

Crew cuts and hauls, or you pile it and we bring a dumpster.

A lot of brush work is labor: dragging, cutting to length, and stacking so it actually fits on a trailer. If you have the time and a chainsaw, do that part and rent the dumpster. If you would rather have coffee while it happens, send the crew.

FAQ

Brush and yard debris questions people ask.

How much does yard waste removal cost in Jacksonville, IL?

L&J’s Junk Removal prices brush and yard work as a flat rate based on the size of the pile, whether we are cutting or just loading, and whether the skid steer or tractor comes along. There is no hourly charge and no separate disposal fee. Text a photo of the brush to (217) 624-7066 with something next to it for scale and you will have a straight price back, usually the same day, or use the estimate form.

Who does brush removal near Springfield, Beardstown, and Virginia, IL?

L&J’s Junk Removal, a family-owned crew with 88 five-star Google reviews, handles brush removal, brush pile removal, and yard debris removal in Springfield, Beardstown, Virginia, Jacksonville, Petersburg, Chandlerville, Arenzville, and every town in Cass, Morgan, and Sangamon County. We cut it, load it, and haul it with our own trucks and equipment. Text (217) 624-7066 or send a photo through the estimate form.

Is it cheaper to rent a dumpster or hire brush removal for a big pile?

If the brush is already cut and you have the time to toss it, renting an L&J’s dumpster for a few days is usually the lower flat rate. If the pile still needs cutting, dragging, or a skid steer to move, the crew is the better deal because that labor is the whole job. Text (217) 624-7066 with a photo and we will quote both ways so you can pick.

Do you cut the brush, or do I have to have it piled already?

L&J’s cuts it. Our crew brings chainsaws and loppers, cuts limbs and saplings to lengths that stack tight on the trailer, and drags everything from wherever it is. If it is already piled, great, we load and go. If it is still standing along a fence line or lying across the yard, we handle that too. Send a photo and tell us what shape it is in.

Can you remove storm debris and fallen limbs?

Yes. L&J’s Junk Removal runs storm debris removal after wind and ice events across Cass, Morgan, and Sangamon County: downed limbs, split trunks, branches tangled in fences, and the shingles and siding mixed in with them. We schedule crews as fast as we can get a truck and trailer to you. Text a photo to (217) 624-7066 and we will get you on the list.

Do you clear overgrown fence lines on farm property?

Yes, and it is some of our favorite work. L&J’s clears honeysuckle, mulberry, vines, and volunteer trees off farm fence lines and pasture edges around Cass and Morgan County, cutting back to the wire and hauling the brush. The tractor or skid steer comes along for the long runs and the heavy piles. Text (217) 624-7066 with a photo of the line and about how many feet you need cleared.

Will you haul tree debris after a tree service takes the tree down?

Yes. Tree debris removal after the climbers leave is a job L&J’s Junk Removal handles often. We cut the trunk into liftable lengths, load the limbs and brush, rake up the sawdust and chips, and haul the whole mess. Stumps that have been ground out or pulled go too. Send a photo of what the tree service left behind and we will give you a flat price.

Can I put yard waste in one of your dumpsters?

Yes. Brush, limbs, leaves, grass clippings, old fence boards, and landscape timbers all go in an L&J’s 15 or 20 yard driveway-friendly dumpster, and you can keep it 1 to 7 days while you work through the yard. Leave out dirt, rock, and sod by the truckload, since that weight is a different conversation. Book a dumpster online or text (217) 624-7066.

Do you remove stumps?

L&J’s hauls stumps that are already out of the ground or ground down to chips, and the skid steer can pull smaller stumps and root balls where the ground allows. Large stumps from mature trees usually need a grinder, which is a separate service, but once it is loose we will load it with the rest of the yard debris. Text a photo to (217) 624-7066 and we will tell you what is realistic.
